Overview

Hero's Path - Face the Hydra is a PvE Standard event introduced in March 2020, soon after the release of the Theros Beyond Death card set.

The event has an entry fee of 15 Mana Crystals.

Special rules

Permanent support Permanent support: Face the Hydra  Green
Side: Enemy
  • When a Hydra creature is destroyed: The first Hydra creature in that player's hand gains half of its mana.
  • At the end of your turn: If you don't control a Hydra card, lose 10 life. Otherwise, draw a card. Then, deal X damage to your opponent's Planeswalker. X is the number of Hydra creatures and Hydra reinforcements you control, up to 10.

At the beginning of a battle, the player chooses one of the following Hero supports to start play on their side.

  • When you match this support's gem: Your first creature gains Deathtouch Deathtouch until end of turn.
