[[Origins]] is the first ''Magic: The Gathering - Puzzle Quest'' set, and was the only existing set at the time of the game's public release in December 2015, in version 1.2 of the game. The set abbreviation is ORI, and the set icon ([[File:ORI_Symbol.png|x16px|ORI]]) resembles a five-pointed rising sun. Origins is the largest card set, consisting of 246 cards across all rarities except Masterpiece.
The game developers have stated that Origins will always remain a Standard format set, unlike every other set, which will eventually rotate out of Standard.
