[[Colors of Magic]] is a Standard PvP event introduced in January 2021 along with the [[Puzzle Masters]] card set.
Its [[#Special rules|Special Rules]] alter the game in a brilliantly simple way. A simple to say concept, although it probably was not simple to code, that utterly changes the nature of Puzzle Quest, and makes a new game to discover. Cards that were extremely powerful (Mentor's Guidance, Secret Rendezvous, Brokers Charm) become useless, and cards that no one paid much attention to become monstrous game changers. Wizard Class withered and Paladin Class becomes (now rotated out of [[Standard]]) became powerful, and Wizard Class withers.
The event has an entry fee of 20 Mana Crystals.
There is only one recharge, 23.5 hours after start time, which accumulates four charges per node, instead of the usual single charge every eight hours. The September 19, 2022 hosting of the event saw the first node modified. Begins at midnight UTC with 4 charges on each of two nodes. Acquires three charges on each node 23.5 hours later and ends 46 hours from commencement, at 10PM UTC. Since the maximum charge can contain both starting and added charges, it is impossible to lose charges by exceeding the maximum.
== Rewards ==
The Signature Spellbook Pack (All Colors) is a non-dupe booster containing 1 [[PMA]] card. These normally cost 250 crystals, and until [[Battles From the Ages]] and [[Jump/Start]], only [[Duel Decks]] events had rewards worth as much as 250 crystals.
