He has average healthIn the [[Innistrad: Midnight Hunt]] event [[The Harvesttide]], average mana gains with an extremely unbalanced spread, and average deck limits which heavily favor Creatures, at red {{Ability|Activate}} gems are added to the board by the expense of SupportsLycan Rage permanent support.

His abilities revolve around red gemsKoth of the Hammer is the first of two [[Planeswalkers]] in MtGPQ to embody Koth at different points in his [[#Story|life story]]. Although Koth of the Hammer was released with the [[Battle for Zendikar]] set, [[#Story|his story]] is set in Mirrodin, including destroying non-red gems on a MtG setting introduced more than a decade before the boardrelease of Puzzle Quest, and creating a support token which permanently {{Ability|buff|buffs}} it is only his creatures when red gems are matched. He can also temporarily give all his creatures {{Ability|Berserker}} avatar released seven years later, [[Koth, Fire of Resistance]], whose homeland and {{Ability[[#Story|Trample}}, as well as a large buff story]] is directly connected to their Powerhis concurrent set.
