[[Liliana, Defiant Necromancer]] is a black human Planeswalker, introduced in December 2015 along with the public game launch. Being an [[Origins]] planeswalker, she is always available in the vault, and is cheaper than similar planeswalkers from other sets.
Her abilities have a graveyard theme, including discarding her own and her opponent's cards to the graveyard, and returning creatures from her graveyard to play. She can also create activated gems which damage the opponent's creatures.
Liliana, Defiant Necromancer, sometimes called L1, is the first of eight many playable [[Planeswalkers]] in MtGPQ which embody Liliana Vess at different points in her life.
