The Eldrazi were inscrutable entities of the BlindEternities, able to travel between planes to devourworlds. Unable to defeat the titans, the ancientPlaneswalkers used [[Battle_for_Zendikar|Zendikar]]'s hedrons to lure,contain, and immobilize them. They remainedtrapped in stasis and hidden for millenia untilyounger Planeswalkers inadvertently releasedthem.
