Overview

The Great Tournament is a Standard coalition PvP event, released in November 2019 along with the Throne of Eldraine card set.

Story

The King has returned and all Eldraine is celebrating! The courts have gathered to promote the greatest tournament of all time. Now it's up to you to choose a modality and do your best to defeat the other contenders.

Special rules

Unlike most coalition events, using a Planeswalker on one node does not stop the same Planeswalker from being used on other nodes.

The following additional special rules apply:

  • When a support you control with the Artifact or Enchantment subtype gains shield:
  • Destroy the top 4 cards of each player's library.
  • Then, the first creature card in your hand gains 3 mana.
