The Wandering Emperor is a white human Planeswalker, introduced in March 2022 along with the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty card set.

She has fairly high health at maximum level, but she only begins to get +4 to hit points at level 45. She shares the highest_{Oct 22} White mana gains of +7 with a few Planeswalkers, and has decent Blue and Green bonuses, made possible with deep minuses in Black and Red. She has fairly unbalanced deck limits; a bit like a Green Planeswalker with high Creature and low Spell limits.

She favors the various means of casting two cards in one turn, to have Renewed Surroundings on the field when she uses her abilities. Mana conversion, cheap cards, card effects or simply disabling cards in hand until needed, help. The beginning of turn activation of some event supports, such as in Across Ixalan, count as casting one of the two cards.

She has a Passive Ability: Wanderer's Speed, which creates her Renewed Surroundings token when she casts her second card of the turn.

Story

"At a young age, the Emperor of Kamigawa’s encounter with the Artificer, Tezzeret made her Spark ignite, causing her to Planeswalk away from her home plane. The event, however, also made her Spark unstable, demanding the Wandering Emperor to greatly concentrate just to avoid unwanted planeswalking. Finally, she comes back home thanks to her friend Kaito and the Soratami Tamiyo, and she will use all her might to help her people once more."
