When new cards are added to the rewards list, they are also added to players' saved packs. This is not only more efficient, it allows the cards to be obtained before the new version of the event is run.
It is possible to face the same foe twice in one series of matches.

BFA was intended to launch with the six cards from [[MID]], [[VOW]] and [[NEO]] as rewards; the two NEO cards were patched in. Nine cards from [[SNC]] (all the exclusive cards from that set) were added at the end of June 2022. Some time after the release of [[The Ultimate Planeswalk]], its Exclusive [[PRO]] (Promotional; includes Holiday event rewards) cards were added. Two cards from [[BRO]] were added on that set's release day.
