Tibalt, Cosmic Impostor is a black and red half-devil half-human Planeswalker, released in February 2021 along with the Kaldheim card set.

He has high health and deck limits a little high on Spells and Supports. He has very good mana gains in his colors, neutral to blue and green, and minus two to White.

Tibalt's abilities synergise with Exile effects. He can Exile cards from play, cause Destroyed cards to be Exiled instead, and can temporarily Copy  opposing cards when Exiled. As well as dealing damage based on exiled cards, his ultimate ability drains the opponent's loyalty and gives them a self-harming Vanguard support. He can also create Red Devil or Demon Berserker Token  creatures, and give his Tokens  and Copies  Haste .

The Valki, God of Lies card cannot be created for the opponent with Tibalt's abilities alone, since his God of Lies ability requires that the opponent not control a Tibalt Vanguard. The second half of the ability goes off instead. The player can play their own copy of Tibalt twice, and get the God Valki, God of Lies as usual, but unless the enemy's support has been destroyed, they already have Tibalt, and Valki's text only gifts Tibalt if the opponent doesn't have it, so nothing happens.
