Revolving Planeswalk: DMU Edition is a Standard PvP event, released the 10th of October 2022 along with the Dominaria United set. It is the first of the Revolving Planeswalk events, and bore that name until the 26th of March, when it was given its suffix, in line with the second in the series: Revolving Planeswalk: BRO Edition.
Revolving Planeswalk: DMU has five varieties, which are run as daily events during the week, each with an entry fee of 20 . Each version of the event and each node corresponds to a different colour. All five nodes and their special supports are run in a slightly different order for each color of event. The first node is always the color of the event; the rest are run in the order: Blue, Black, Red, Green, with White taking the place of whichever other color might be first. Subsequent nodes are unlocked by defeating the previous node.
It has a special form of locked nodes; similar to Seize the Day
The Special Rules are: Locked Nodes, Color Restricted, and Permanent Supports affecting play.
RP:DMU features no unique elements of the DMU set. Instead, all of the ten objectives require the Summoning of two creatures with a Basic Evergreen ability, with two exceptions: Haste is not an Evergreen ability, and the fliers of the Blue Node must be Cast). Two abilities are each node, totalling nine of the twelve Basic Evergreens; all except Berserker , Lifelink and Hexproof .
All Revolving Planeswalk nodes have a very fast, two hour recharge time.

Special rules
Each event in the series has the following special features:
Locked nodes | Once a Planeswalker has been chosen for a node, it's locked in for the whole event. |
---|
Color restriction | One or more nodes in this event can only be played by Planeswalkers of a specified color. |
---|
Permanent support |
A permanent support affects play on one or more nodes. |
---|
A Planeswalker may be chosen for any combination of the nodes of its colors, but once a Planeswalker has been chosen for a node, another may not be chosen for that node, for the whole event. For example, a Nicol Bolas could be chosen for all three of Blue node and Black node and Red node, but the player could not switch to him if a Jace had already been chosen for Blue node. This differs from the usual type of Locked Nodes, where a PW can only be chosen for a single node.

Story
- “Unite your favorite cards and Planeswalkers to visit a random plane from among the current standard rotation and enjoy the best strategical buffs that each of them can offer!
- In this PvP event, each day you will fight against other players with the help of a different set of supports that bring the characteristics of one of the current standard rotation’s sets.
- Your Planeswalkers will be attached to their current nodes, so you can play with any Planeswalker that shares at least one color with the node’s colors.”

Notes
Oktagon plans to release versions of Revolving Planeswalk for each new set, which complement the others, and do not replace them.
The initial announcement of the event's release proclaimed a points structure of five Ribbons (25) for the win, and three and two for the secondary objectives. Popular criticism of this plan on the forums led to the current points structure, with double the points available.
All of the objectives are named after the Abilities they require except for Winged, which requires creatures with Flying , and Threaten, which requires Menace .
The Evergreens of the secondary objectives, as one might expect, are those common to creatures of that color, except for the Double Strike required for the Red node. As of the release of this event, there are only two Red Double Strike creatures in the whole of Standard, one of which is a Masterpiece. There are no PWs that summon creatures with Double Strike, and Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas is the only PW that grants it to creatures in hand. Until this might be fixed, it will force players of the Red Node to play White and Red Planeswalkers on it, or forego the points for that objective, or draw the match out for a very long time.
Perhaps oddly, because even Wizards of the Coast calls these abilities Basic, only two of the ten objectives have been seen previously; the Defender name had been used before, but it required Casting, not Summoning.
Bugs
A bug on Black Node was fixed : When a creature with Deathtouch or Menace was summoned, Compleation Station's effect would activate even if it was declined in the popup, giving a random creature Imminent Death.
