Overview

Objectives are goals for a battle in an Event. The primary objective of all battles is to simply Win the Fight!. Most battles include two further secondary objectives, for example:

• Playing a certain number of creatures, spells, or supports.
• Taking or dealing a certain amount of damage.
• Winning in a certain number of turns.

If a battle is won and an objective is achieved, a reward is obtained at the end of the battle. Objective rewards include trophy points contributing to your event score, and usually include a small number of Runes (such as 100  or 200 ). In rare cases, achieving an objective brings additional rewards.

Objectives

Many types of objective exist in the game. The same objective may appear in different Events. An objective may have different numerical targets (indicated by X, Y, and Z below) for different events or nodes it appears in.

General

Deck Challenge:  Win with a Beginner, Expert or Master Deck.
Pauper:  Win with only Common and Uncommon Cards.

Miser:  Win with only cards that cost 'X' or less mana.
Prodigal:  Win with only cards that cost 'X' or more mana.

Speed:  Win the fight within 'X' rounds.
Slow and steady:  Slow and steady 'X'

Researcher:  Draw 'X' or more cards during a single fight.
Tombstone:  Have 'X' or more cards in your graveyard during a single fight.

Loyalty:  Activate a Planeswalker ability 'X' or more times during a fight.

Life / damage / destroy

Survivor:  Win the fight with 'X' or less HP remaining.
Shield:  Win the fight with 'X' or more HP remaining.

Resilient:  Take 'X' or less damage during a single fight.
Comeback:  Take 'X' or more damage during a single fight.

Bounty Hunter:  Deal 'X' or more damage to an opponent's Planeswalker during a single turn.
Hunter:  Deal 'X' or more damage to a creature during a single turn.
Striker:  Deal 'X' or more damage during a single turn.

Warlock:  Deal 'X' or more damage with Spells during a fight.
Enraged:  Deal 'X' or more total damage to creatures during a single fight.

Healer:  Gain 'X' or more life during a single fight.

Pacifist:  Kill 'X' or less enemy creatures during a single fight.
Destroyer:  Destroy 'X' or more creatures during a single fight.

Protector:  Have 'X' or fewer creatures you control destroyed or exiled during a fight.
Sacrifice:  Have 'X' or more creatures you control destroyed or exiled during a fight.

Abilities

Aether Boost:  Energize 'X' or more gems during a single fight.
Amass:  Cast 'X' or more cards with Amass during a fight.
Cycler:  Cycle 'X' or more cards.
Partnership:  Cast 'X' or more cards with Partner during a fight.
Propagation:  Cast 'X' or more cards with Proliferate during a fight.

Call to Arms:  Create 'X' or more Creature Tokens  during a single fight.
Defender:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with Defender  during a single fight.
Embalmer:  Summon 'X' or more creatures with Embalm.
First Strike:  Summon 'X' or more creatures with First Strike  during a single fight.
Winged:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with Flying  during a fight.

Defenseless:  Summon no creatures with Defender  during a single fight.
Lifeless:  Summon no creatures with Lifelink  during a single fight.

Creatures

Burst:  Cast 'X' or less creatures during a single fight.
Commander:  Summon 'X' or more creatures within a single fight.

Ambush:  Summon 'X' or more Creatures during a single turn.

Fetcher:  Fetch 'X' or more Creatures from your library during a fight.

Weakstone:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with power 'Y' or less.
Mightstone:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with power 'Y' or more.

Meek:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with toughness 'Y' or less.
Hardened:  Cast 'X' creatures with toughness 'Y' or more.

Recruit:  Cast 'X' creatures with cost 'Y' or less.
Veteran:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with cost 'Y' or more.

Arlinn's Pack:  Summon 'X' or more Werewolves during a single fight.
Army of the Dead:  Summon 13 or more Zombies.
Army:  Summon 'X' or more Knights, Soldiers, or Warriors during a single fight.
Assembly Line:  Summon 'X' or more Vehicles during a single fight.
Bayou:  Summon 'X' or more Fungus or Elves during a single fight.
Decay:  Summon 'X' or more Knights or Fungus during a single fight.
Emrakul's Emergence:  Summon 'X' or more Eldrazi during a single fight.
Engineer:  Summon 'X' or more Constructs during a single fight.
Experimentalists:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with any of these subtypes: Elemental, Human, Vedalken, Wizard.
Faithless:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with any of these subtypes: Assassin, Cleric, Spirit, Vampire.
Fossils:  Summon 'X' or more Dinosaurs during a single fight.
Loot:  Summon 'X' or more Pirates during a single fight.
Mutation:  Cast 'X' or more Creatures with any of these subtypes: Elf, Lizard, Mutant, Wizard.
Nalaar:  Summon 'X' or more Creatures with any of these subtypes: Elemental, Monk, Thopter, Wizard.
Nature Defenders:  Cast 'X' or more creatures with any of these subtypes: Druid, Elemental, Elf, Shaman.
Necromancer:  Summon 'X' or more Zombies.
Paladin:  Summon 'X' or more Knights or Angels during a single fight.
Progeny:  Cast 'X' or more Creatures with any of these subtypes: Eldrazi, Vampire.
Reanimator:  Summon 'X' or more Zombies in a single fight.
Rotten:  Summon 'X' or more Creatures with any of these subtypes: Elf, Fungus, Insect, Zombie.
Savage:  Summon 'X' or more Creatures with any of these subtypes: Dragon, Elemental, Elf, Goblin.
Scales:  Summon 'X' or more Merfolk during a single fight.
Scholarship:  Summon 'X' or more Artificers or Wizards during a single fight.
Skyborn:  Cast 'X' or more Creatures with any of these subtypes: Angel, Bird, Drake, Sphinx.
Sorcery:  Summon 'X' or more Shamans or Wizards during a single fight.
Sorin's Fight:  Summon 'X' or more Vampires during a single fight.
Summon:  Win the fight and summon 'X' Ys or Zs.
Tribal:  Cast 'X' or more Creatures with any of these subtypes: Goblin, Elemental, Warrior, Shaman.
Warfare:  Summon 'X' or more Goblins or Warriors during a single fight.
Zendikari:  Cast 'X' or more Creatures with any of these subtypes: Elemental, Elf.

Spells

Anti-Magic:  Cast 'X' or less spells during a single fight.
Spell Caster:  Cast 'X' or more spells during a single fight.

Grimoire:  Cast 'X' or more spells during a single turn.

Magician:  Cast 'X' or more spells with cost 'Y' or less.
Archmage:  Cast 'X' or more spells with cost 'Y' or more.

Supports

Aggressive:  Cast 'X' or less supports during a single fight.
Artificer:  Cast 'X' or more supports during a single fight.

Alliance:  Cast 'X' or more Vanguard  supports during a fight.
Archivist:  Cast 'X' or more Sagas during a single fight.

Foundry:  Cast 'X' or more Artifact supports during a single fight.
Spellsmith:  Cast 'X' or more enchantments during a single fight.
Terraforming:  Cast 'X' or more Land supports during a single fight.

Gadgeteer:  Cast 'X' or more supports that cost 'Y' or less.
Projectionist:  Cast 'X' supports with cost 'Y' or more.
