Note that the effects of the [[#Forging the Blackblade|Forging the Blackblade]] token will not take place if there are no creatures for it to buff.
Untargeted abilities can affect creatures with {{Ability|Hexproof}}, and save the price of targeting ones with {{Ability|Ward}}; in this respect, the first two levels of One's Vengeance Path are superior to the latter two. The 3rd and 4th levels however, become valuable against enemies which permanently disable your creatures.
