His abilities all manipulate cards, especially {{Ability|Copy|Copying}} them, sometimes with mana gain. He can also draw cards, and destroy cards in libraries. He can make a copy of his Vanguard support from [[ZNR]]; because they do not reinforce, they can potentially cover the board. His first ability is tied for cheapest. Uniquely, his third ability is cheaper than his second, but it is also less powerful. His [[#Starting Deck|Starting Deck]] has two {{Ability|Landforming}} cards which can make Land supports, including Rogue Glasspool Mimic, which adds to itself the power and toughness of another creature on the board. Originally it did not {{Ability|Reinforce}} well, but was patched to add said power and toughness on the second and subsequent castings.
