No new mechanics are added by the expansion and therefore no Training scenario. However, sixteen cards see the return of {{Ability|Convoke}}; more than in its debut in [[Guilds of Ravnica]]. Thirteen cards have {{Ability|Flash}}; not a rare ability, but neither is it common.
Many cards from the MOM paper set, and its "Battles" card ability, were left out of the Puzzle Quest version.

As of release, no new events had been announced.
In addition to the new loading screens added for each new set, a new screen was added to the [[Planechasing Fblthp#Usher to Safety|Usher to Safety]] version of the Fblthp event. The art is that of the Open the Way card[https://www.tcgplayer.com/product/495614/magic-march-of-the-machine-the-aftermath-open-the-way?Language=English] from the MOM set; one of the cards left out of the PQ release.
