No new mechanics are added by the expansion and therefore no Training scenario. However, sixteen cards see the return of {{Ability|Convoke}}; more than in its debut in [[Guilds of Ravnica]]. Thirteen cards have {{Ability|Flash}}; not a rare ability, but neither is it common.
Many cards from the MOM paper set, and its "Battles" card ability, were left out of the Puzzle Quest version. 6.2 also saw the beginning of a hopeful end of the infinite combo Danitha, Benalia's Hope and Blade of Shared Souls. Danitha fetched the Blade and gave it full Mana, and the Blade made a {{Ability|Copy}} of Danitha.
