Overview
Gem matching is a core part of the Magic: the Gathering Puzzle Quest gameplay. Matching occurs when you move Gems on the gem Gem board to form groups a sequence of three or more of the same color. Matching gems gives you Mana and Loyalty to power your Cards and your Planeswalker abilities. Matching special gems can trigger special effects or abilities.
== How to match Types of matching ==On each of your moves, make a match by swapping a gem with its neighbor to form 3 in a row. This means a line of 3 or more gems of the same color, vertically or horizontally.
In additionThere are three types of gem match:* Cards Swap - On your turn, when you play which convert make a match by swapping a gem with its neighbor to form 3 or more gems to other of the same color in a vertical or horizontal row, it's a Swap match.* Cascade - When gems can also cause fall into the empty space left by previous matches, if they land in a sequence of 3 or more of the same color, they make a Cascade match.* Convert - When a card converts the color of gems on the board to make a sequence of 3 or more of the same color, it causes a Gem Conversion match. At least one move making a match Swap is always available on the board. If the board gets into a state with has no valid movesat the end of a turn, the gems on the board are shuffledit's Shuffle.* The game prompts you with a possible match Swap if you take some time to make your move. The prompted match Swap is not necessarily the best moveone.
Effects of matching
* All gems vertically above the removed gems fall down to fill the empty space
* New gems appear from beyond the top of the board, so the board remains full of gems
* A falling gem Falling gems which makes make 3 in a row when it lands causes another match (this is a "cascade")they land cause Cascade matches** Any number of cascade Cascade matches can occur in a turn** A falling gem temporarily making 3 in a row while still falling (before landing) does not cause a match
