[[Standard]] is a [[Portal:Cards|card set]] format which includes [[Origins]], plus between four and eight of the newest main-line card sets.
Standard format is often contrasted to '''[[Legacy]]''' format, a format including all card sets, or '''Block''' format, which includes selected card sets only.
When [[Dominaria United]] was released in October 2022, Standard format rotated, and the previously Standard sets [[Zendikar Rising]], [[Kaldheim]], [[Strixhaven]], and [[Adventures in the Forgotten Realms]] became Legacy sets.

The card sets in Standard format match the Standard format of tabletop MtG, with the single difference of [[Origins]] always being in Standard. When [[Innistrad: Midnight Hunt]] was released in October 2021, [[Throne of Eldraine]], [[Theros Beyond Death]], [[Daxos vs Kalemne]], [[Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths]] and [[Core Set 2021]] became Legacy sets.
In the fourth quarter of 2020, after the release of [[Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths]], Core Set 2021, and Zendikar Rising, the following card sets rotated out of Standard: [[Zendikar vs Eldrazi]], [[Guilds of Ravnica]], [[Ravnica Allegiance]], [[War of the Spark]] and [[M20]].
When [[Throne of Eldraine]] was added to MtGPQ in November 2019 [[XLNIxalan]], [[RIXRivals of Ixalan]], [[DOMDominaria]], and [[M19]] rotated out.
