== Overview ==Each battle in this event has a secondary objective to summon a pair of thematically terrifying creatures. [[Terrors in the Shadows]] Planeswalkers can only be used on a single node. Once a Planeswalker is selected for a PvP Legacy event introduced in August 2016node, that node is locked, along with and no other Planeswalkers can be selected. Selected Planeswalkers are removed from selection for the release of the [[Shadows over Innistrad]] setother nodes.  Prior to December 2016, Terrors in the Shadows was a Coalition event. In October 2021 its rewards were updated to feature the newly-released [[Innistrad: Midnight Hunt]] set, and [[Innistrad: Crimson Vow]] rewards were added in May 2022. TiS had long been an especially competitive event, due to its rewards being from an old set which is harder to acquire.

 {{Event points table|event=Terrors in [[Shadows over Innistrad]] is considerably more rare than [[MID]] or [[VOW]]; for newer players, the third tier reward of a Shadows over Innistrad pack is superior to either the first place reward of an Innistrad: Crimson Vow pack or the second place Innistrad: Midnight Hunt pack. After the rewards change, some players began pulling their punches, and trying for third place Shadowsover Innistrad [[#Rewards|start_hour=11|total_hours=46|base_1=12|bonus_1=9}}Rewards]] on purpose. It is a tricky process to get a sufficiently high score to get third place but not so high as to place higher. In some brackets, it may be necessary to give up the last individual reward, effectively trading two Standard Rares for one Legacy.
