Each battle in this event has a secondary objective to summon a pair of thematically terrifying creatures.
Planeswalkers can only be used on a single node. Once a Planeswalker is selected for a node, that node is locked, and no other Planeswalkers can be selected. Selected Planeswalkers are removed from selection for the other nodes.
Prior to December 2016, Terrors in the Shadows was a Coalition event. In October 2021 its rewards were updated to feature the newly-released [[Innistrad: Midnight Hunt]] set, and [[Innistrad: Crimson Vow]] rewards were added in May 2022. TiS had long been an especially competitive event, due to its rewards being from an old set which is harder to acquire.
