The set abbreviation is WAR, and the set icon ([[File:WAR_Symbol.png|x16px|RNA]]) resembles the Planeswalker symbol morphed together with the horns of [[Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh|Nicol Bolas]].
[[Ravnica at War]] is a Block-restricted Coalition PvP event, released at the same time, featuring elements of the set.
[[Role Reversal]] is a Standard PvP event similarly released, as is [[The Elderspark]], a Standard PvE Coalition event.
[[Planechasing Fblthp]] is a Legacy PvE event released at the same time, that unlocks its own area of the [[Vault]], with cards for sale for [[Mana Crystals]] that are normally available only for [[Mana Jewels]].
[[Rising Tensions]] is the only source of WAR packs as rewards, outside of [[Ravnica at War]] and [[The Elderspark]], which [[Historical events#Unconfirmed|have the appearance of being retired]].
[[WAR]] and [[Adventures in the Forgotten Realms]] each released six [[Planeswalkers]]; [[Fblthp, the Lost]], [[Gideon Blackblade]] (G4), [[Liliana, Dreadhorde General]] (L5), [[Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God]] (B3), [[Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge]] (T4) and [[Wrenn and Six]] were released around the same time as the set.
