Note It is worth noting that the effects first 2 levels of One's Vengeance Path bypass both {{Ability|Hexproof}} and {{Ability|Ward}}, but it is unlikely that a player would leave Dakkon unleveled to utilize this aspect. Level 4 of the [[#Forging ability, while losing the Blackblade|Forging the Blackblade]] token will not take place if there are no aforementioned bypasses, becomes much more versatile in that it can now target friendly creatures . Untargeted abilities like Forging the Blackblade can affect creatures with {{Ability|Hexproof}}, and save the price of targeting ones with {{Ability|Ward}}; in this respect, and balanced against the utility of targeting preferred non-Hexproof creatures, the first two levels of One's Vengeance Path are superior to the latter two. Although emergent strategies are possible, Dakkon seems designed to gain large amounts of Loyalty with Blue gems (especially with conversion) and his first ability, ameliorating the high cost of the second and third and hopefully enabling them to be used more often.
