PAGENAME
Five College Showdown is a special PvE event, introduced in April 2026, along with the update 7.9.0 and the release of Secrets of Strixhaven card set. During the event, players were able to test out five newly introduced Planeswalkers, playing with their Master decks against five different Archaics - enemies from Arcavios. It is most likely a one-time event.

Story
:When the Elder Dragons of Arcavios first noticed humanoid races trying to wield magic they grew angry and wary. The dangers of mortals being capable of magic far overweighted the positives of the matter.
:But with time the Elders understood that with discipline and proper guidance these mortals could master the magic birthed from the plane’s snarls. With that philosophy in mind Strixhaven was founded, a school of magic where the teachings of the founder Elder Dragons would be passed for generations.
:Each Elder had its own college, named after themselves: Silverquil, Lorehold, Witherbloom, Prismari and Quandrix.
