She has lower than average health, average mana gains with a balanced spread, and average deck limits. Her limit of eight supports is second only to [[Wrenn and Six]] and [[Tezzeret, the Seeker]]; she has a below average Spell limit. She gains White, Black, and Red bonuses early, making her low level mana balanced. She has relatively higher hit points at low level but gains HP slowly. She has an unusual set of mana bonuses at maximum level, with fair bonuses to her colors, and +1 to White and Red, with a neutral Black.

She has mildly powerful abilities of disabling enemies, graveyard recursion, and card drawing. All of them are enhanced considerably by the creation of create her [[#Tamiyo's Notebook|Notebook]] support, which converts gems or grants Loyalty, when its {{Ability|Mana Field}} is activated.
