His abilities have a control theme, including returning a creature from play to its owner's hand, drawing cards and gaining an extra swap, and creating a powerful support {{Ability|Token}} which progressively strips away the opponent's creatures, supports, and mana as he Teferi draws cards.

Teferi, Hero of Dominaria is the first of four several playable Planeswalkers in MtGPQ which embody Teferi Akosa at different points in his life.
