Objectives are goals for a battle in an Event. The primary objective of all battles is to simply Win the Fight!. Most battles include two further secondary objectives; Playing or Summoning a certain number of creatures, spells, or supports, for example.
The same objective may appear in different Events. An objective may have different numerical targets (indicated by X and Y below) for different events or nodes it appears in.
If a battle is won and an objective is achieved, a Game reward is obtained at the end of the battle, including Ribbons contributing to your event score, and some Runes (usually around 200 ). Aiming to obtain all possible Ribbons from objectives in each game is key to maximising your Event rewards.

Strategy
Ideally, finishing objectives comes naturally, just before reducing the opponent's health to zero. There are multiple options for accelerating the pace objectives are completed, or conversely, slowing the game down, for dealing with less than ideal draws.
The simplest is putting more of the required cards in the deck. Next, cards that let you draw more cards. Disabling creatures in hand until they can all be cast at once to complete an objective, stops them killing the opponent before the pieces of the puzzle are ready. Having four creatures, even if some of them are not required for the objective, makes it possible to replace a creature or stack of creatures that has high power with a single or low power creature, or even a higher power creature without Haste to stop a creature attacking one turn.
