Overview

Rising Tensions is a Legacy PvP event introduced in November 2018 along with the release of the Guilds of Ravnica set. The event changed from Standard to Legacy in October 2020, and was reformatted to run occasionally, rather than three times each week.

Special rules

Color restriction	One or more nodes in this event can only be played by Planeswalkers of a specified color.

Permanent support		A permanent support affects play on one or more nodes.

Node 1 (top): Gruul Clans

Planeswalker color restriction	Blue, Red, Green
Only planeswalkers with affinity to Blue, Red, or Green can be played.

	Permanent support: Gruul Clans
	Side: Both
	Whenever a player draws a creature card, that creature gains Riot .

Ambush:  Summon 2 or more Creatures during a single turn.	5

Node 2 (right): Cult of Rakdos

Planeswalker color restriction	White, Black, Red
Only planeswalkers with affinity to White, Black, or Red can be played.

	At the end of each turn, if your opponent lost life during that turn, all cards in your hand gain 2 mana.

Only planeswalkers with affinity to White, Blue, or Red can be played.

	Whenever a player casts a non-copy spell, copy that spell. It gains half of its mana.
