The Colossal Tussle

The Colossal Tussle is a Legacy PvP event introduced in May 2020 along with Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths. It changed from Standard to Legacy in October 2021 (v5.2).

The event has an entry fee of 30 Mana Crystals.

The three nodes recharge once, at 11:30 UTC; 23.5 hours after the event starts. They accumulate three charges per node, instead of the usual one. The charge maximum is six.

The initial charges plus the charges added does not exceed the maximum, therefore no charges can be lost.

The maximum number of Ribbons that can be obtained on each node is ten, for a grand total of 180 possible (10 Ribbons x 3 nodes x 6 charges).

Special rules

Restricted Subtype: Human
Cards with the Human subtype may not be used in player decks.

At the beginning of a battle, the player chooses one of the following four support cards to start play on their side, and the opponent chooses one at random.

	Permanent support: Evolution
	Side: Player
	When a creature you control is Mutated : If that creature's base power is 4 or greater, draw a card. It gains 4 mana. Otherwise, reinforce that creature.

	Permanent support: Side Effect
	Side: Player
	When you draw a creature card: It gains 2 mana for each of its Basic Evergreen  abilities. This effect can trigger up to 2 times per turn. When you activate a Loyalty ability: Your first creature gets +2/+2. Then, it gains a random Basic Evergreen  ability.

	Permanent support: Last Ride
	Side: Player
	When a creature you control dies or loses a reinforcement: If it is a Token  creature, your non-token creatures get +1/+1. Otherwise, gain 2 life and deal 2 damage to your opponent's Planeswalker. When a non-token creature enters the battlefield under your control: You may Destroy target creature you control. If you do, draw a card.

	Permanent support: Twist of Fate
	Side: Player
	When you Cycle  another card: If that card is a support card, your first creature gets +1/+1. If that card is a spell card, you gain 2 Loyalty. This ability can trigger up to 3 times per turn.
