Overview

Rising Tensions: GRN is a PvE Standard event introduced in November 2018, along with the release of the Guilds of Ravnica set. The event has an entry fee of 20 .

Like its sister event, Rising Tensions: RNA, five variations of the event are run during weekdays on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday rotation. On each day, the player fights for a different Guild featured in the Guilds of Ravnica set. The player battles against nodes representing the other four Guilds.

Story

"The friction between the guilds of Ravnica has never been more palpable. An absent Guildpact has given rise to new guild leaders with unknown agendas. On this critical moment, each guild must gather information and seek for possible allies."

Special rules

Color restriction	One or more nodes in this event can only be played by Planeswalkers of a specified color.

The Guild of the day provides a special benefit (to both players) on all nodes via a permanent support.

Golgari Swarm	Permanent support: Golgari Swarm   Side: Both Whenever a nontoken creature enters the battlefield, it gets +X/+X, where X is the number of creatures in its controller's graveyard, up to 5.
Selesnya Conclave	Permanent support: Selesnya Conclave   Side: Both At the beginning of each player's turn, the cost of the first card in their hand is reduced by X, where X is the number of creatures and creature reinforcements that player controls.
Boros Legion	Permanent support: Boros Legion   Side: Both All creatures gain Mentor
Izzet League	Permanent support: Izzet League   Side: Both Whenever a player casts a non-copy spell, copy that spell. It gains half of its mana.
House Dimir	Permanent support: House Dimir   Side: Both Whenever you cast a support, Surveil 2, then draw a card.

Nodes

All nodes are available for play at the start of the event. (Prior to March 2019, only the first node was initially unlocked with full charges, and each other node became unlocked with a single charge after winning once on the previous node.)

The event contains five nodes, but on any given day, only four of them are available. The Guild of the day never fights against itself.

• 13 May 2019 - 3 Jun 2019: Event was not run.
• 3 Jun 2019 - present: On each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, one of Rising Tensions: GRN and Rising Tensions: RNA is run. Achieving a secondary objective no longer awards 200 .
