[[Zendikar Rising]] is the 27th expansion set of ''Magic: The Gathering - Puzzle Quest'', released in October 2020 in version 4.5 of the game. The set abbreviation is ZNR, and the set icon ([[File:ZNR_Symbol.png|x16px|ZNR]]) resembles a growing hedron.
The [[Zendikar Expeditions]] are were Standard PvP events, released at the same time, featuring elements of the set such as [[Abilities#Kicker|Kicker]], [[Abilities#Landforming|Landforming]] and [[Abilities#Party|Party]]. They have been replaced by [[Revolving Planeswalk]] and are likely discontinued; if they were run again, they would have to be [[Legacy]], unless new Landforming cards were released.
== Events ==[[Rise of Adventure]] is a [[StandardLegacy]] coalition PvP event, similarly released. It left Standard with ZNR on the release of [[Dominaria United]] in October 2022.
The Kicker ability existed, before Zendikar Rising, as a plain text ability. It was reworked in ZNR, and given an icon.
== Planeswalkers ==[[Ashiok, Sculptor of Fears]], [[Jace, Mirror Mage]] (J4), [[Nahiri, Heir of the Ancients]], and [[Nissa of Shadowed Boughs]] (N5) are [[Planeswalkers]] released about the same time as the set. Jace's first ability is enhanced when he pays a [[Abilities#Kicker|Kicker]] cost. Nahiri's abilities affect or require [[Abilities#Party|Party]]. Much later, in late 2021, the AFR set's [[Dungeon Master]] was released, with the ability to fetch cards from outside the game, enough to form a Party; also enhancing his ability while a Party is on board.
