Zendikar Rising is the 27th expansion set of Magic: The Gathering - Puzzle Quest, released in October 2020 in version 4.5 of the game. The set abbreviation is ZNR, and the set icon () resembles a growing hedron.
The Kicker ability existed, before Zendikar Rising, as a plain text ability. It was reworked in ZNR, and given an icon.
Events
The Zendikar Expeditions were Standard PvP events, released at the same time, featuring elements of the set such as Kicker, Landforming and Party. They have been replaced by Revolving Planeswalk and are likely discontinued; if they were run again, they would have to be Legacy, unless new Landforming cards were released.
Rise of Adventure is a Legacy coalition PvP event, similarly released. It left Standard with ZNR on the release of Dominaria United in October 2022.
Planeswalkers
Ashiok, Sculptor of Fears, Jace, Mirror Mage (J4), Nahiri, Heir of the Ancients, and Nissa of Shadowed Boughs (N5) are Planeswalkers released about the same time as the set. Jace's first ability is enhanced when he pays a Kicker cost. Nahiri's abilities affect or require Party. Much later, in late 2021, the AFR set's Dungeon Master was released, with the ability to fetch cards from outside the game, enough to form a Party; also enhancing his ability while a Party is on board.

The Zendikar Rising set consists of 261 cards across all five rarities, plus full art variants of 23 of those cards.
