Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths is the 23rd expansion set of Magic: The Gathering - Puzzle Quest, released in May 2020 in version 4.2 of the game. The set abbreviation is IKO, and the set icon () resembles a beast's eye.
In paper Magic the Gathering, the sets immediately before Origins were closely related to three-color combinations of mana via the Clans of Tarkir, and had lands to go with them. But in Puzzle Quest Ikoria was the first appearance of three color lands, the Triomes.
IKO has more Cycling cards than the Amonkhet set that introduced that mechanic.
Events
Hunter X Bonder is a Legacy coalition PvP event and The Colossal Tussle is a Legacy PvP event; both were released at the same time as Ikoria. They feature elements of the set. HXB affects and is affected by Humans and non-humans, like the Bonders and their monster allies. TCT affects the Mutate ability, and requires it, and Cycling cards. They left Standard, along with IKO, when Innistrad: Midnight Hunt was released in October 2021.
Planeswalkers
Lukka, Coppercoat Outcast, Narset of the Ancient Way and Vivien, Monsters' Advocate are Planeswalkers released at the same time as the set. All three have abilities with Companion requirements for an enhancement of the ability.
Cards
The Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths set consists of 233 cards across all five rarities, plus full art variants of 36 of those cards.
As sometimes happens, an ability introduced in a previous set (in this case Cycling from a set released years earlier, Amonkhet) was added; 52 IKO cards have or interact with Cycling.
