Overview

Duel Decks: Zendikar vs Eldrazi is a Duel Decks event which was launched as a beta event in September 2018 in release 2.9, along with its associated Zendikar vs Eldrazi card set. The event was overhauled in May 2019, in release 3.4.

This event contains both PvE and PvP matches, depending on the phase. The event is unique in containing Winning Side rewards.

Special Rules

Duel Decks event
This is a Duel Decks event. It has three phases: Challenge phase: Unlock a side (PvE; decks provided) Duel phase: Play for your side (PvP; make your own deck) Final duel phase: Play for your side (PvP; make your own deck) Victory at the end depends on games won by all players on your side vs the other side.

Planeswalker requirement		One or more nodes in this event can only be played with a required Planeswalker.

Note: The required Planeswalkers are available for use in each stage of this event, whether or not you own them.

Permanent support		A permanent support affects play on one or more nodes.

Challenge Phase

Choose a planeswalker below and duel against the other one, using a pre-set deck. Nodes have no charges and are untimed.

Only the first objective (Win the Fight) is initially unlocked and available on each node. Completing the first objective unlocks the second objective, and completing the second objective unlocks the third objective.

Winning all three objectives for a planeswalker is required in order to join their side in the Duel and Final Duel phases.

Heart of Zendikar	18	Create 4 Ashaya, the Awoken Tokens .

Eldrazi (The Eldrazi Devastation)

Abilities		Effect
Scions of Desolation	9	Target non-colorless creature gets -3/-3. Create 3 Eldrazi Scion Tokens .
Ulamog's Consumption	12	Ingest 6, then your opponent exiles the last 2 cards from their hand.
Kozilek's Distortion	15	Process 3: Your opponent loses 10 life, then move the first 2 cards from your opponent's exile zone to your hand with full mana.

Rewards for objectives 2 and 3 are only received the first time the objective is met.

Duel and Final Duel Phase

Join one side and play PvP duels against the other side. Each game depletes a charge on the node, which is recharged over time.

You may construct your own deck, with the following additional restrictions:

• Both sides: Can only use cards from the ORI, ZVE, BFZ, and OGW card sets.
• The Eldrazi Devastation: Cannot use green or white cards.

The side with the most victories at the end of the event is the winning side.

	Landfall: The first creature you control gains +2/+2 and you gain 4 life. Whenever a player casts a card with Awaken , create 4 Forest Tokens  under that player's control.
