Overview
Ugin, the Spirit Dragon is a colorless elder dragon Planeswalker, introduced in May 2019, a couple of months after the release of the Ravnica Allegiance card set.
He has higher than average health, low mana gains with a perfectly balanced spread, and average deck limits.
His abilities have a creature destruction and color leeching themes. He can damaging a creature and gain permanent mana bonuses according to its colors, or exile a creature and an additional support if the creature wasn't colorless. His ultimate ability is a powerhouse of life gain, card draw, and mana gain.
Ugin's rune cost to increase levels is the same as the cost to level a mono-colored Planeswalker (79,920 ). This is in contrast to the cost of the other released colorless Planeswalkers, Karn, Scion of Urza and The Eldrazi Desolation, whose leveling costs match that of three-color Planeswalkers (323,750 ). At the time of release, Ugin's relatively low leveling cost has not yet been confirmed as a bug.
