Overview

Awakened Inferno is a legacy PvP event introduced in October 2019 along with Core Set 2020.

The event focuses on the life of the fiery-tempered pyromancer, Chandra Nalaar.

Awakened Inferno was introduced in October 2019 as a Standard event, became Legacy in October 2020, became block-restricted in May 2021, and returned to Legacy in December 2021.

Special rules

Locked nodes	Once a Planeswalker has been chosen for a node, it's locked in for the whole event.

Permanent support		A permanent support affects play on one or more nodes.

	At the end of your turn, this support deals X damage to your opponent's Planeswalker, where X is the number of this support's reinforcements. Then, reinforce this support. Whenever you cast a spell, reinforce this support. Then, deal 2 damage to each opposing non-Elemental creature.

	Whenever you cast a spell, if you control 2 or less creatures, create 2 Fleeting Elemental Tokens . At the end of your turn, gain 1 Loyalty and return the first spell that cost 9 or less from your graveyard to your hand. It gains half of its mana.
