Rise of Adventure

Rise of Adventure is a Legacy coalition PvP event, released in October 2020 along with the Zendikar Rising card set. It changed from Standard to Legacy in October 2022 (v5.9).

The same two permanent supports are used on Node 1 and Node 2; the enemy controls one and the player, the other. Control of the supports is reversed between nodes.

Like Zendikar Expeditions it gives "Have a full PartyParty" as an objective, and the player chooses between Classes for their top node permanent support. The Wizard Adventurer support rewards Wizardry. Instead of LandformingLandforming, the related Landfall empowers the player's Node 2 support.

Charges are added in excess of the maximum; charges can be missed.

Node 1: Adventurers - Party (top)

At the beginning of a battle, the player chooses one of the following four support cards to start play on their side.

    Permanent support: Cleric Adventurer    
Side: Player
  • While on the board: Your Cleric creatures get +0/+2 and gain Vigilance .
  • When you gain life: Your opponent loses 2 life. If you have a full Party , your opponent loses 6 life instead. This effect can trigger up to 3 times per turn.
    Permanent support: Rogue Adventurer    
Side: Player
  • While on the board: Your Rogue creatures get +2/+0 and gain Menace .
  • When a creature you control deals combat damage: Destroy the top card of your opponent's library. Then, you gain 2 mana. If you have a full Party , destroy 3 cards and gain 5 mana instead.
    Permanent support: Warrior Adventurer    
Side: Player
  • While on the board: Your Warrior creatures get +2/+0 and gain Haste .
  • When a creature you control attacks: The first Equipment card in your hand gains 2 mana and the first creature card in your hand gets +1/+1. If you have a full Party , each Equipment card in your hand gains 3 mana and each creature card in your hand gets +2/+2 instead.
    Permanent support: Wizard Adventurer    
Side: Player
  • While on the board: Your Wizard creatures get +1/+1 and gain Flying .
  • Wizardry: Draw a card. It gains 3 mana. If you have a full Party , instead draw a card and copy it up 2 times, then those cards gain 6 mana. This effect can trigger up to 2 times per turn.

The opponent begins with "The Adventure" permanent support in play (see Node 2).

Node 2: The Adventure - Lands (bottom)

    Permanent support: The Adventure       
Side: Player
  • Landfall White: Disable the first enabled opposing creature until the beginning of your next turn.
  • Landfall Blue: Drain 5 mana from your opponent's hand.
  • Landfall Black: The first opposing reinforced creature loses a reinforcement.
  • Landfall Red: Deal 2 damage to the first opposing creature.
  • Landfall Green: Create 3 Insect Tokens .
  • Each of these effects can trigger up to 1 time per turn.

The opponent begins with one of the four "Adventurer" permanent support in play, chosen randomly (see Node 1).
