She has lower than average health and average deck limits with a focus on Spells. She has fair mana gains in Blue, a little less in White and Green, and neutral bonuses in Black and Red.

Her abilities have a theme of temporary neutralisation, including debuffing a creature's power, and disabling the opponent's creatures in play and cards in hand. She has a secondary card draw theme, including her ultimate ability, which fills her hand with cards and temporarily grants enormous mana bonuses for her affinity colors.

Tamiyo, Field Researcher is the first of two playable Planeswalkers in MtGPQ to embody Tamiyo at different points in her life.

Story

"When the field scholar Tamiyo became a Planeswalker, the potential knowledge of the Multiverse was greater than any power she could ever desire. A blue mage, she doesn't use brute force to get what she wants, but rather knowledge, defense, persistence, and the mind." The combination of white blue and green is called Bant after the Shard of Alara from the MtG multiverse.
