Kasmina, Enigma Sage is a blue and green human Planeswalker, introduced in May 2021 along with the Strixhaven card set.

She has average health and high mana gains in Blue and Green and a small bonus to Red. She can only gain one mana with Black and White, as is required for the other bonuses to be high. She has average deck limits.

Kasmina has a variety of powerful abilities including card draw, mana gain, gem conversion, creature and support buffs, and the power to use Vanguards a second time after using a Loyalty ability.

Mentor's Guidance is an ability unique to Planeswalkers, that fetches cards from outside the game, or even outside the player's collection. This works the same way, and with the same cards, as the Learn cards from Strixhaven.

Its activation is considerably than a pessimistic reading of its text would indicate. It can be better understood as, "Adamant: Color OR Color, since a match of EITHER of the two colors activates the search for a Lesson card.

Learn cards

Kasmina does not fetch a fixed list of cards with Mentor's Guidance; she chooses four cards out of all the colorless Lesson cards, and all the Lesson cards of the colors of the School activated. This amounts to a choice of four cards out of twelve possible, with each match.

The numbers of colorless are twice as high, but two colors can be chosen, so the chance would be even, all things being equal. Fortunately, the colorless Lessons are utility cards of sufficient power.
