Overview

Rising Tensions: RNA is a PvE Standard event introduced in March 2019, along with the release of the Ravnica Allegiance set. The event has an entry fee of 20 .

Like its sister event, Rising Tensions: GRN, five variations of the event are run during weekdays on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday rotation. On each day, the player fights for a different Guild featured in the Guilds of Ravnica set. The player battles against nodes representing the other four Guilds.

The event ran as a daily M-F event until May 13th when the event was removed from the schedule and a VIP Plan was announced. It was later stated this was a coincidence.

The event was originally released without a 200 rune reward for secondary objectives. On March 28th, 2019 Brigby announced that this was a bug and a data patch fixed this. The 3.4 patch removed the 200 runes from secondary objectives.

Following a poll on the user forums the event returned on a M-W-F basis starting June 3rd 2019.

Backstory

"The friction between the guilds of Ravnica has never been more palpable. An absent Guildpact has given rise to new guild leaders with unknown agendas. On this critical moment, each guild must gather information and seek for possible allies."

Special rules

Color restriction	One or more nodes in this event can only be played by Planeswalkers of a specified color.

The Guild of the day provides a special benefit (to both players) on all nodes via a permanent support.

Cult of Rakdos	Permanent support: Cult of Rakdos   Side: Both At the end of each turn, if your opponent lost life during that turn, all cards in your hand gain 2 mana.
Gruul Clans	Permanent support: Gruul Clans   Side: Both Whenever a player draws a creature card, that creature gains Riot .
Orzhov Syndicate	Permanent support: Orzhov Syndicate   Side: Both Whenever a non-Token  creature loses a reinforcement or is destroyed, its controller creates an Orzhov Spirit Token  [1/1 Flying ].
The Simic Combine	Permanent support: The Simic Combine   Side: Both Whenever a creature gets buffed, that creature gains "At the end of this turn, this creature gets +1/+1", until end of turn.

Nodes

All nodes are available for play at the start of the event. The event contains five nodes, but on any given day, only four of them are available. The Guild of the day never fights against itself.
