Who’s the Killer?

Leyline Dominion (forums) is a Standard Coalition PvP event, announced in April 2024 in version 6.5.2 of the game, following 6.5.0's March Murders at Karlov Manor (MKM) card set. It was first run in April 2024, directly after another MKM event: Following the Clues.

Two nodes, each with 6 charges; all 12 available upfront. There are rewards for progression through the objectives that are given immediately, and for coalition placement and player placement, given when the event ends.

The objectives are not, as of December 2024, listed on the forums, despite a discreet hint by a forum user :

"@Magic:PQ Support Team would you mind sharing the objectives for each node or will they be a surprise?"

Neither have the attributes of the Spirit token, although it seems likely they are the 1/1 White and Black flyers that are so common in cards and as planeswalker summons.

Until The Harvesttide and WTK, Witchcraft was an objective used in Fables of Eldraine, requiring the summoning of a given number of Druids, Warlocks, or Wizards.

Orzhov Investigation

White and Black Enchantment, indestructible, affecting both players but controlled by neither :

This support can't be reinforced. When a non-token creature you control dies or loses a reinforcement : Create a White and Black Spirit token [probably : White and Black Spirit token, 1/1, flying]. At the beginning of your turn : Your Spirit creature tokens gain Vigilance  and Lifelink  until the beginning of your next turn.

Simic Investigation

Story

"After the Phyrexian invasion, Ravnica decides to celebrate the victory with a huge party at the Karlov mansion. Despite the celebrations, two murders of extremely important people plague the party, leaving all of Ravnica on alert. With the deaths of Teysa Karlov and Zegana, all of Ravnica is searching for the culprit and it is up to the best detective to find answers to this terrible mystery."
