Mana Burn

Standard PvP event released along with update 6.7 and Puzzle Masters 2.

The inspiration for this event comes from the paper game. In Magic the Gathering, when Mana is created by lands and such, it goes into a pool; any Mana not used up is converted into damage, called Mana Burn.

There is one node, with the maximum 12 charges available from the beginning.

”Do you smell something burning?”
"Burning Isles, a volcanic archipelago ravaged by drakes and with a dozen lords, all claiming dominion. A place full of dangers, with flames so intense that they are capable of burning even the remnants of mana, bringing danger to most planeswalkers."

"The node features two similar supports, one under each player’s control. These supports effectively change how the game works, adding a detrimental effect when each player is greedier than they should and generate too much mana."

Mana Burn is one of only a handful of PvP events that do not give Individual rewards. Other than the daily events, the holiday events, lucrative ones like Across Ixalan, and the odd Role Reversal, every single one is a new event by Webcore : Commoner Cup, Following the Clues, Into the Wilds of Eldraine, Leyline Dominion, Locomotive Looters, and Lost in Caverns of Ixalan.
