The Kamigawa Run is a Standard Coalition PvP event, released in March 2022 along with the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty card set.

Unlike many events, the requirements of the objectives in The Kamigawa Run feature no elements of the associated set. The event supports benefit both NEO-specific creature types (Samurai, Ninja) as well as their related generic types (Warrior, Rogue).

Special rules

Color restriction	One or more nodes in this event can only be played by Planeswalkers of a specified color.

Permanent support		A permanent support affects play on one or more nodes.

Node 1: Search for the Emperor (top)

Planeswalker color restriction	White, Red, Green
Only planeswalkers with affinity to White, Red, or Green can be played.

	Permanent support: Throne of Eiganjo

	When a player matches only 3 gems: The first Samurai or Warrior creature they control gets +1/+1 and gains Vigilance . When a player casts an Enchantment or Aura card: If that player has 5 or more Enchantment or Aura cards on their graveyard and exile, that player creates a support named The Wandering Emperor under their control.

Node 2: Stealth Operation (bottom)

	Permanent support: Enhanced Espionage

	When a Ninja or Rogue creature enters into the battlefield under a player's control: That player draws a card. If the last card in that player's hand is an Artifact card, it gains 3 mana. When a player casts an Artifact support card: The first creature card in that player's hand gains 3 mana.

The Wandering Emperor

Support Card - Vanguard, White, 4 Shields, with: "When your opponent matches this support's gem: Activate one of this card's abilities at random.

+ 1 : Target creature you control gets +1/+1. It gets Lifelink  until end of turn.

- 3 : Exile the first creature without Vigilance  or Defender . You gain 6 Life. Create a Samurai Token  [Samurai (White) Creature 2/2]"

Begins at midnight UTC with 4 charges on each of two nodes. Acquires three charges on each node 23.5 hours later and ends 46 hours from commencement, at 10PM UTC. With seven charges and a maximum of 14 charges, it is impossible to lose charges.
