Plague Control: Infestation is a Standard PvP event, released in October 2023 with update 6.3.1 after the release of Wilds of Eldraine (WOE) card set.

Story

“The difference between mischief and malice? Numbers.”

Edgewall is the closest thing to a civilized city, on the border for the Wilds. Lots of creatures from deeper parts of the Wilds can be seen at the markets, but one of them is never welcome in the city. The rats. The piper Totenhanz asks you to see through this problem, but when you go search for their nest, it seems the hunter has become the prey.

Special rules

Permanent support		A permanent support affects play on one or more nodes.

An event support spawned and affects both players equally.

Permanent support: Rat Nest
Side: Both	Token, level. Rat Support abilities don't trigger. At the beginning of your turn: Crate 2 Rat Swarm Tokens. Then: Increase this card's Level by the number of cards with the Rat subtype in play. At the end of your turn: Your opponent loses X life and you gain X life. X is equal to this card's Level plus the number of cards named Rat Swarm you control.

Support card - Rat Enchantment, black, token, 1 shield. This support can't be reinforced. At the beginning of the combat on your turn: Deal 1 damage to your opponent's Planeswalker.
