Overview

Seize the Day is a block-restricted PvP event introduced in March 2020, along with the release of the From the Vault: Odyssey card set.

The event has an entry fee of 15 Mana Crystals.

Special rules

Block restricted:
Cards in player decks are restricted to the following block of card sets: Origins From the Vault: Odyssey From the Vault: Torment From the Vault: Judgment

Locked nodes	Once a Planeswalker has been chosen for a node, it's locked in for the whole event.

Permanent support		A permanent support affects play on one or more nodes.

On some nodes, at the beginning of a battle, the player can choose a support card to start play on their side.

Nodes

Node 1 (top): Atogs

At the beginning of the battle, the player chooses one of the following support cards to start play on their side.

Event support (2 shield): Lithatog
Side: Player	Resilient  While on the board: Your first creature gets +X/+X and gains Trample . X is this support's shield. When a support card you own with the Artifact subtype is destroyed: This support gains 2 shield. When a support card you own with the Land subtype is destroyed: This support gains 2 shield.

Event support (2 shield): Psychatog
Side: Player	Resilient  While on the board: Your first creature gets +X/+X and gains Deathtouch . X is this support's shield. When you exile a card from your hand, if it has 4 or more mana: Move that card to the graveyard instead. Then, this support gains 2 shield. At the end of your turn: Exile the first 2 cards from your graveyard. Then, this support gains 2 shield.

Event support (2 shield): Phantatog
Side: Player	Resilient  While on the board: Your first creature gets +X/+X and gains Hexproof . X is this support's shield. When a support card you own with the Enchantment subtype is destroyed: This support gains 2 shield. When you exile a card from your hand, if it has 4 or more mana: Move that card to the graveyard instead. Then, this support gains 2 shield.

Side: Player	Resilient  While on the board: Your first creature gets +X/+X and gains Berserker . X is this support's shield. When a support card you own with the Artifact subtype is destroyed: This support gains 2 shield. At the end of your turn: Exile the first 2 cards from your graveyard. Then, this support gains 2 shield.

Side: Player	Resilient  While on the board: Your first creature gets +X/+X and gains Vigilance . X is this support's shield. When a support card you own with the Enchantment subtype is destroyed: This support gains 2 shield. When a support card you own with the Land subtype is destroyed: This support gains 2 shield.

Node 2 (left): The Cabal

At the beginning of the battle, the player chooses one of the following support cards to start play on their side.

Permanent support: Holistic Wisdom
Side: Player	At the beginning of your turn: One of your colored mana bonuses is increased by 1 (chosen randomly). When you exile a card from your hand, if it has 4 or more mana: Move that card to the graveyard instead. Then, return the first other card from your graveyard to your hand that shares a card type with the card discarded this way.

Permanent support: Battle of Wits
Side: Player	When you cast a card: Reinforce this support. At the beginning of your turn: If this support has 20 or more reinforcements, gain 30 Loyalty.

Permanent support: Impulsive Maneuvers
Side: Player	When a creature you control attacks: Destroy 2 random gems. Then, if there is an even number of Red gems on the board, that creature gains Double Strike  until end of turn. Otherwise, its power becomes 0 until end of turn.

Permanent support: Delaying Shield
Side: Player	If a source would deal damage to you: Prevent X of that damage. Then, reinforce this support. At the end of your turn: If this support is reinforced, you lose X life. Then, this support loses all its reinforcements. X is the number of white gems.

Node 3 (right): Battle in the Pits

Permanent support: Gravestorm
Side: Both	At the beginning of your turn: Destroy the top 4 cards of your library. Then, your opponent draws a card. It gains half of its mana.
