[[Terrors in the Shadows]] (TiS) is a Standard Coalition [[PvP]] event introduced in August 2016, along with the release of the [[Shadows over Innistrad]] set.
== Event Details History ==Between December 2016 and August 2024, Terrors in the Shadows was a PvP Legacy event. In October 2021 its rewards were updated to feature the newly-released [[Innistrad: Midnight Hunt]] set, and [[Innistrad: Crimson Vow]] rewards were added in May 2022. TiS had long been an especially competitive event, due to its rewards being from an old set which is harder to acquire.

[[Shadows over Innistrad]] is considerably more rare than [[MID]] or [[VOW]]; for newer players, the third tier reward of a Shadows over Innistrad pack is superior to either the first place reward of an Innistrad: Crimson Vow pack or the second place Innistrad: Midnight Hunt pack. After the rewards change, some players began pulling their punches, and trying for third place Shadows over Innistrad [[#Rewards|Rewards]] on purpose. It is a tricky process to get a sufficiently high score to get third place but not so high as to place higher. In some brackets, it may be necessary to give up the last individual reward, effectively trading two Standard Rares for one Legacy.
