Revolving Planeswalk: ONE Edition |
Revolving Planeswalk: ONE Edition is the third of the Revolving Planeswalk series of Standard PvP events. It was released less than two weeks after Phyrexia: All Will Be One set, on the third of April 2023. RP:ONE and others in the series are complements to, not replacements for, each other.
RP:ONE has five varieties, which are run as daily events during the week, each with an entry fee of 20 . Each version of the event and each node corresponds to a different colour. All five nodes and their special supports appear in every version, run in a different order for each color of event; the first node is always the color of the event. The rest are run in the order: Blue, Black, Green, Red, except White replaces whichever color is first. Subsequent nodes are unlocked by defeating the previous node.
RP:ONE's objectives are not tied to any unique elements of the ONE set. The permanent supports tend to use Oil Counter and Toxic mechanics, and the White support creates Phyrexian Mites.
Revolving Planeswalk nodes have a very fast, two hour recharge time.

Special rules
Each event in the series has the following special features:
Permanent support |
A permanent support affects play on one or more nodes. |
---|
Color restriction | One or more nodes in this event can only be played by Planeswalkers of a specified color. |
---|
Locked nodes | Once a Planeswalker has been chosen for a node, it's locked in for the whole event. |
---|
A Planeswalker may be chosen for any combination of the nodes of its colors, but once a Planeswalker has been chosen for a node, another may not be chosen for that node, for the whole event. For example, Sarkhan Unbroken could be played on all three of Blue node and Green node and Red node, but the player could not switch to Sarkhan if a Chandra had already been chosen for Red node. This differs from the usual type of Locked Nodes, where a PW can only be chosen for a single node.
