Angels' Embrace was a Legacy PvP event introduced in January 2017, along with the release of the Aether Revolt set.

The event was run as a free event on Valentine's Day from 2017 to 2021, and had themes of angels and red mana. In February 2022 it was replaced by Devour in Flames on two successive Valentine's Days, until it returned, unannounced on the weekly schedule, on the 21st of June 2023, as a paid event with a fee of 60 Crystals.
Once a Planeswalker has been chosen for a node, another may not be chosen for that node, nor may that Planeswalker be chosen for another node, for the whole event.

The net cost for Platinum players is negligible, but neither are there Mana Jewel rewards. The potential Crafting Orb returns are more instructive; for those who already have the Rare card rewards, three duplicate rares is half the return of a duplicate Mythic from Battles From the Ages, despite significantly more games played.
