Emergency Ordinances is a Legacy PvP event, first released in January 2017 along with the Aether Revolt card set. Node 4 was added to the event in 2019.

Each node includes an objective to Energize 5 or more gems.

Once a Planeswalker has been chosen for a node, another may not be chosen for that node, nor may that Planeswalker be chosen for another node, for the whole event.

After being run nine times in 2020 and seven times in 2021, it was only run once in 2022, in March, seeming to indicate that it might possibly be approaching retirement. However, this speculation was ended when new developers Webcore ran it twice in the first few months of their tenure in late 2023.
