Colors of Magic is a Standard PvP event introduced in January 2021 along with the Puzzle Masters card set.

Its Special Rules alter the game in a brilliantly simple way. A simple to say concept, although it probably was not simple to code, that utterly changes the nature of Puzzle Quest, and makes a new game to discover. Cards that were extremely powerful (Mentor's Guidance, Secret Rendezvous, Brokers Charm) become useless, and cards that no one paid much attention to become monstrous game changers. Wizard Class withered and Paladin Class (now rotated out of Standard) became powerful.

The event has an entry fee of 20 Mana Crystals.

There is only one recharge, 23.5 hours after start time, which accumulates four charges per node, instead of the usual single charge every eight hours. It is impossible to lose charges by exceeding the maximum.

Special rules

  • Puzzle:
    • Cards can't gain mana.
    • When you match gems, trigger the specified effect, where X is your mana bonus of that gem's color, if it's greater than 0.
    • If you match 4 or more gems, double the strength of the effect.
