Overview

Hour of Devastation is a Legacy coalition PvP event, first released in July 2017 along with the card set of the same name, Hour of Devastation.

Three varieties of Hour of Devastation exist, each featuring a different required Planeswalker, and different objectives on that Planeswalker's node:

• Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh
• Elspeth, Sun's Champion
• Samut, the Tested

Backstory

"Everything here exists or perishes at my whim. Including you, Gatewatch."—Nicol Bolas

With Naktamun in the throes of destruction, one Hour remains. It was not spoken of in The Accounting of Hours, for it was not meant for the people of Amonkhet. Nicol Bolas calls on the Planeswalkers of the Gatewatch—Liliana Vess, Jace Beleran, Chandra Nalaar, Gideon Jura, and Nissa Revane—to face him. They answer his challenge, and an epic battle ensues. Nicol Bolas defeats the heroes one by one, pushing them to their breaking points, and forcing them to planeswalk away. Nicol Bolas's victory is complete.
